Inspired by lofty places, we invite you to join us for a view from above featuring a powerful program including compositions from award-winning Caroline Shaw, Igor Stravinsky's "Dumbarton Oaks", and an American premiere from Paul Frost. This concert will include strings, flute, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn.
We take our inspiration for this concert from a lofty place; the view of an inspiring place from above. The regal Beethoven horn sextet starts this program, before venturing into award-winning works by Caroline Shaw, and Igor Stravinsky’s Dumbarton Oaks, written for the historic home of the same name in Washington D.C. Featuring welsh violinist, Martin Gwilym-Jones in the American premiere of Paul Frost’s “Elevation” for string ensemble and solo violin.
