Strings Chamber Music Camp 2026

Details

Open for all strings players aged 12-19 - All levels welcome. Special exceptions for younger students will be considered.

Tuition: $250 / (need-based scholarships available) 

Applications and screening video due by March 15- early applications are appreciated!

Schedule

Monday August 3-Friday August 7

10 am - 3 pm each day, Lunch provided on final day.

During the camp, students will receive:​

  • daily chamber music coaching

  • daily chamber orchestra ensemble

  • Daily masterclasses (open to the public) with an opportunity for all students to perform to an ACMF faculty member

  • ​instruction on how to play in small ensemble and how it contributes to your musical learning

  • creative musical activities to expand horizons

  • Culminating performance open to the public on final day of camp

Students will be given materials ahead of time and are expected to come well prepared to the camp.

Have you played in a chamber music group before, or is this your first time experiencing small ensemble playing? If you have a pre-formed group, sign up to participate together!  Otherwise, we'll match you with other students based on age and level.

Please indicate in your application if you would like to apply for the opportunity to perform in a Masterclass.

Each day, musicians will spend time with their ensemble receiving coaching from our professional ACMF musicians. Activities may also include individual one-on-one work with a coach, group work to develop and refine skills needed by small ensemble musicians, and more!

What's included in our chamber music programs?

Our chamber music courses are a multi-day, intensive chamber music experience. No previous chamber music experience necessary. We welcome applications of all levels and abilities. Discover the joy that is playing music with others! We will send out materials and music before the camp and seminar so that you can be prepared for the week.
